Arrow DFW is NOT a worry for the experienced traveler

I forgot to add one major caveat - with winter weather and ORD flow control, I'd MUCH rather route via DFW than ORD. IMO, you do NOT want to be stuck in ORD with 2 - 4 hour system delays; almost happened to me Jan 2, except it would have meant an overnight in a hotel with a scarce room, and waiting the next day - international, not your case, but still a major PITA.

Some have menitoned patterns established by prior use of Eagle or certain departure areas for their usual flights - since you haven't been through DFW in some time, this won't be an issue.

I gave you a link you can use to explore the temrinal system and interterminal transport system. There is a map in the American Way inflight magazine, there are maps in DFW, there are "Ambassador" (or the like) volunteers with little lectern-sized desks to help, and they also have maps. Especially the new LCD monitors are easy to read and clear. Skylink is easy to find, easy to use.
