The agent was unable to provide me a boarding card so I am then added to the Departure Management System. She apologizes and says that the RCC will assist further.

I have come to the conclusion that the RCC is horrible. I would never pay for a membership, particularly since my travel is almost exclusively international and the 1K card gets me entrance. Nevertheless, at the RCC the agents at the front said that they have no access to the DMS and that I had to shuttle back and forth from the RCC to the gate, awaiting for the agent to arrive at the gate to get a boarding card. After saying politely that I hope you understand that I would rather stay in the RCC and watch football instead of waiting at the gate. As bad as the RCC is, it is slightly better then huddling with dozens of people just to watch the game on the 15" TV. The RCC agent rudely said "Nothing I can do. Next."

I ended up with 1A from the gate agent (but on a 767-300) and few moments in the international first class lounge, but I wonder if it is true or not that the women sitting in the RCC do not have access to departure management system lists. Any feedback would be helpful for next time.

Thanks.
Yes, it is true. However, I have had excellent RCC agents agree to call the gate agent for me as soon as the agent showed up and page me in the RCC. They CAN and SHOULD do that!!
