Thank you all for your thoughts, I want to add:
1. originating from DFW
2. OK to be on different flights as long as it's same day (she is seasoned traveler)
3. OK for her to be in economy if we can be on same flight

Agree with the sooner the better, just want to benefit from all your experience.
