That's precisely what they're thinking in DC. You do the same things you do in NYC early on a Sunday morning. Perhaps go to an 8am service at church before you fly off someplace? ^

In terms of schedule and staff, NYC MTA is a class act compared to the WMATA clowns. Some months the Washington Metro drivers cannot even manage to stop at the station platforms even on their second or third try. Still, the WMATA "cars" and stations are like BA-league in comparison to most of the NYC MTA's physical product which is more like NorthWorst-league.
For the most part, the cars in DC are newer with the huge exception of the new cars on the 4, 5, 2, and 3 trains. I like those new cars. It's easier for bums to get on the NYC subway cars and deface them than it is on the DC metro. Score 1 for DC on that.
