oh, ok.. that makes perfect sense. From now on i will stand in line, however long, with everyone else. I am sure there will be NO complaints about the flight delays. You won't mind, or possibly post a sarcastic post here, would you? if your flight was delayed because crewmembers were in line at security??? and just stood there?
Bloody hell, we are there for YOU. We don't particulary care to go to Omaha or Boise or New Dehli all the time,,,, we do it to get YOU to YOUR family or work, safely and hopefully happily. Have some respect for us and our jobs and the sacrifices we make... a bypass through security and all the pretzels we can eat doesn't make us spoiled or "lucky".
I don't expect most people to look at the big picture... but we have layovers scheduled to give us legal rest, and pick up and drop off to and from hotels and layovers are scheduled accordingly. Should we have scheduling pad an extra hour or so for security line ups for us? Or should we just as was suggested, line up anyway, and explain to our supervisors and passengers the reason for the delay? we are held accountable to be on the plane with safety checks done, ready for you to board as scheduled.
It is not really a debate about IF we should cut line or not...that has been decided by TSA, the airports, and the airlines. It is a debate about etiquette, and the courtesy or saying excuse me and acknowledging the people who you are cutting in front of, which I have stated, the right thing to do. The starbucks comment is ridiculous. Speaking of starbucks, I think I will go there now. Maybe I will put on my Navy blue polyester line jumper uniform, and see if I can take advantage of the line there, once again...since I am such an opportunist, being a crewmember and all!
