I imagine there are a few AMR and AA officers and shareholders none of this status speculation applies to - maybe they are the ones who can displace granted upgrades, and I am sure they don't worry too much about upgrade windows (does that make someone who is downgraded on a courtesy upgrade or 500 milers victims of airline-sponsored "defenestration?"
