Etiquette of Crew in Secuirty Lines

I was at the LAX Terminal 7 security the other day. ABout 8 crew members, one by one, simply got in front of me. Only one of them made eye contact with me, asking if I minded. OF course I didn't mind, and I appreciated his asking. But I was annoyed that the others did not say a thing. I'm wondering what the take is on FT.
