My girlfriend just used her credit card to purchase hotel rooms for us in Ireland. (our trip is in March). When she got her credit card bank statement, they added a 3% charge onto the transaction. They claimed that all credit card companies will be doing this as it has been dictated by both VISA and MC. Any truth to this?
