I booked went on a MR in Nov, mainloy to requalify for 1P status, however I also signed up for the west coast bonus. No bonus posted nor did the online booking bonus, so I contacted UA who told me that I didn't fly a round trip therefore didn't qualify. The whole routing was JFK-SFO-SEA-PDX-ORD-IAD-JFK. How is that not a roundtrip, after all one must make connections to get to PDX from JFK.

I responded that until UA begins direct flights between JFK and PDX, travellers will always have to make a connection, but that doesn't justify not calling it a round trip. They promised a response in 10 days from the relevant department but I haven't heard back. Any ideas?
