I travelled to Marseille in Club Europe on Christmas eve with my girlfriend. We were meeting my ex-wife down there, picking up my kids and taking them skiing so we had our clothes, their clothes and a shed load of presents. All in all, 5 large suitcases and two ski-boot bags weighing a total of 115kgs!! It was 5pm, the girl on check-in had already been there since 6am and apparantly didn't finish until 9pm so she was understandably a bit fed up. However, she could not have been nicer and didn't charge us any extra for our baggage "since it was Christmas"

That was only my girlfriend's second experience of BA, but she is now a convert. Fortunately I took the liberty of joining her up to the exec club before we left so she now has her first 80 points

BA are great with things like this and it is one of their biggest strengths in terms of customer loyalty over the 'cheaper' competition. However, I still don't appreciate a 25g bag of over salted crisps for lunch or dinner on a flight!!!
