thanks guys - sounds like my bright idea to hire a CLK and drive 240 miles in 2 hours is a little unlikely

train (and a few beers) it is then. will just have to route my Lon-CGN via FRA in order to pick up the miles I'll miss on the car hire

It is an ICE train from Cologne to Nuremberg - is it worth going for first class on this ? and can I get a proper meal or is there only snacks ?
