It is me??? Have anyone ever asked you to take them off? I have travelled lots and have never taken them off. I see people taking them off, but have never seen anyone telling them. I have been recommeded to take them off (once)... but a recomendation is not an order.... They have never said anything for me not taking them off.

Here are some of the airports that I have been since Sept 11.
Orlando, London, Paris, New York La Guardia, Neward, Boston, Reagan DC, Miami, Edingburg, Tampa, Atlanta, New Orleans...
I asked the TSA at each airport in the US. The answer is "we suggest it." When I don't, then I am pulled aside and given the probe because "I fit the profile." But I get to keep on my shoes. I take draw the line at taking off my belt.

In non-US airports, I keep on my shoes. My shoes beep, they look at the bottom of my shoes and let me go.

Regarding heaviness of suitcases... on my last trip to Australia and NZ, I somehow managed to bring home three gallons of alcohol! Talk about heavy! Flying business does have its perks. But, wow, was that heavy!
