I have been to Honolulu many times. It is very beautiful. There's lots of aloha there. Make sure to get outside of the city. You will be missing the rest of this beautiful island if you don't.

When we go to Honolulu we do not rent a car. The traffic is a nightmare. We take a taxi from the airport to our hotel and then rent a car for a day if we want to really explore. We have also taken the BUS, which is a lot of fun because the locals ride it too and sometimes they will talk story with you. I love to hear stories, especially from the senior citizens.
