As an often user of YUP fares to get BAEC tier points I can confirm that it is difficult to impossible to do better than the 757 F for flights > 2,000 miles. In the transcon markets where AA flies 757s nonstop the YUP pricing on other routings is severely limited, with the strong likelihood of encountering a 762 which dilutes the tier point play back to breakeven. And as previously stated the 757 nonstop in F is a fair comparison to anything else that involves a connection.
