I'm considering changing a late February business class reservation from the SFO-NRT route to LAX-NRT so that I can try out the New Style 777, however, my 2 hour layover will now be 4 hours and I'll arrive at my destination at 1:15 in the morning (instead of the more manageable 9:50). Would this be worth it to the folks who have experienced both?

I assume a NH to CO transfer isn't doable at NRT in an hour?
