There was a MUC-SZB bus (appeared in flight schedules under BA flight number!) several years ago but it is dropped now....

I guess much depends on whether Salzburg will get 2014 Winter Olimpics (to be decided by IOC next summer) but there is pretty stable demand even now.
FR has 3 (!) daily flights so I guess BA would find enough Austrians/Germans/British people for ex-LHR flights? I just cannot see clear reason while pretty town plus huge tourist area around has no direct flights from London...
SZG is my pet route too! Most of the Salzburgerland ski resorts are a good three hours from either MUC or INN. Tend to fly to INN as the approach when the weather is good is spectacular, however the times aren't terribly convenient and it's only 5x weekly. Hopefully BA will give FR some competition on the SZG route.
