I haven't stayed there, but really wouldn't recommend it because of the location. It is in the Olympic Village/Barcelonetta area which is mostly tourist stuff/restaurants/etc. I recommend someplace more central, possibly around the Ramblas. You are walking distance to most things if you stay there, especially the Gaudi buildings. Up on the Diagonale is a little too high.

I have heard decent things about the Claris, but haven't stayed there myself.
