Delta 60% more expensive to London?

I am trying to book a flight to London (from SLC)in November. I can go on AA and United for $480 RT.

Delta, however, comes in at $780. So I have to pay a 60% premium to fly Delta! And to top it off, that is a LUser fare, so it is not upgradeable. The AA and UA tickets are upgradeable.

I e-mailed Delta and asked if they would be trying to compete with the other carriers, or if they just wanted me to take my business elsewhere. I received a nice form e-mail back suggesting I try calling reservations, since they cannot quote ticket prices via e-mail.

So the short answer - Delta expects me to pay a 60% premimum for a non-upgradeable seat. Or I am welcome to take my business to another airline. SGB!
