@@after finding the BE class only half full (through ITN seat map), i called to ask why more upgradable/award seats were not released (it was only 7 days to my date of departure), the agent told me that the economy class was 30 seats overbooked, and the BE seats were reserved for those pax just in case all of them showed up...
so if my waitlist didn't clear 24 hours before departure, and there were still empty seats avalable due to no-show, i would be stuck in coach, after paying $1300.00!
happened to me twice, and i vowed not to be waitlisted again with M fare....
