Hypothetical: Traveling With Pet In An Emergency
This is inspired by a thread I just read on the UA Board about traveling with pets.
Let's say you are traveling alone with a pet and the plane makes a crash landing. You don't know any of your fellow passengers. You didn't speak to any of them during the flight. You and your pet are fine and can evacuate, but several other passengers are injured to the point where they cannot evacuate on their own. A fire has broken-out and you have to scramble to get out. Once out, there is no chance that you can get back in. The plane whent doen in a remote area and rescuers will not arrive in time to rescue the injured passengers before the cabin erupts in flame.
If you take your pet, you are unable to help anyone else. If you leave your pet to help someone else, you don't think your pet will be able to get out alive.
Your only two choices are:
1 - Save yourself and your pet
-or-
2 - Leave your pet and save someone else.
What do you do?
