Starwood has great properties on Kuai (The Princeville) and Lana'i (The Lodge at Koele and the Manele Bay Hotel) but the remainder of their hotels are mediocore at best.
Manele Bay & the Lodge are now both Four Seasons properties. The Lodge was closed for renovations last fall and I am not sure when it is set to reopen. I agree that Starwood's properties in the Islands have gone from great to mediocre. Gone are the two Lanai properties as well as the fabulous Orchid at Mauna Lani (now Fairmont).
