The best eatin' in Jerusalem is a couple hours away in Haifa.

Sorry. I couldn't resist. I've never eaten anywhere in J-Town that I remember thinking "shouldn't be missed". But as these things go, I think Sweet Willie's suggestion is about as good as any for a "real" Israeli food experience.
