And CA is not that bad on international routes in business class, it is just not that good. Some plane configurations are clearly superior to others.

If all you want is a bit more space and you are paying a much lower fare than on one of the other international carriers, then you will be fine. If you are paying the same, then look for a different carrier. In-flight entertainment, food and comfort may be far superior to CA.
