It is actaully a villa by Lecorbusier which was evenused by the Amaericans and Brits (Churchill was there) duerin World War II.
I was there some yearse ago, but service was then very pleasant and professional.
It has two wondreful pools (one seawater and heated) loceted in the mediterranean garden and one is like being on a cuise liner an you have views of Marina Piccola as you are bathing.
The hotel is vety peaceful and secludede from the corwds of Capri, but a wonderful walk of about 15 minutes will take you to the Piazzetta.
Hope to have been useful!
Punta Tragara is a beautiful hotel in a great location, but it is *not* child-friendly. I would strongly advise against it...in fact, they will, in all likelihood, refuse your reservation if you tell them you are travelling with children.

I have not stayed at the Quisisana (sp?), but it does appear to be more family-friendly. Most of the other upscale hotels in Capri are not particularly tolerant of children. I've stayed with my family at the Hotel Luna, but it's not a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination. Beautiful location, very nice pool, comfortable with kids, and so-so service. The rooms are OK but not great (typical of what you'd find in a 3-4 star hotel in France).

One other note: in April, it's possible, even likely that it will be too cold to swim. All of these hotels have outdoor pools only.
