You're right! Sadly, the downtown original Berghoff will be closing its doors forever in February. I assume this means the end of the one at ORD, too. Anyone know? Terrible loss for the loop!
The servers at the Chili's are idiots, but the food tastes the same as it would in any other Chili's. It's a Host Marriott Operation, as I suspect almost all of the restaurants are.
