Not surprising. Delta served Juneau too, but I think they pulled out of there a few years ago. From what I've heard, leisure travel to Alaska this year has been down significantly.
I'm curious as to why the article says only one major carrier will be serving Anchorage. Aside from Alaska Air, both UA and CO serve Anchorage. Not sure, but I think NW does too.
