Ewww.... Please tell me they either took the diaper with them or threw it out in the restroom. I really hope they didn't expect you to dispose of it for them.

Having done enough shopping, etc. with friends' kids, if there's not a changing table in the restroom, you use one of two options. One is to use the space between sinks, if the sinks are connected. The other is to use the floor. This, while a last resort, should be used rather than an eating area. Every diaper bag I've packed or seen has included a changing pad. While not wonderful to use the floor, it's better than an eating table. Dirty diapers and food do just not go together.
