Hello all,

I'm a newbie here, I've been reading through posts for the past week, trying to learn how to maximize savings before pulling the trigger on a purchase. Tonight something happened and I am baffled about this...

I was going to buy an April ORD-LGA fare (L) for $137, and it was available throughout the week
Tonight the same fare is listed as (S) for $177. The strange thing is, the cheaper fare is still available at Orbitz/Expedia/etc (about $142 there), and no seats have been sold since yesterday.

Can someone please tell me why this happened and, more importantly, is there a way to get to the (L) fares on united.com? Should I wait to see if the (L) fare comes back or bite the bullet on Orbitz for $142 and forfeit the 1000 miles because it may disappear from there as well? The flight is still 3 months away.
