Dear FlyerTalk friends:
Please don't do this. The MiG-25 is an awesome performer, to be sure. But it is very old, "brute force" Soviet technology. Just take one look at the rust streaks from the rivets holding the skin on the bird...
There are flights available on MUCH safer Mig-29 Fulcrums and Sukhoi-27s. These are state-od-the-art fighters and interceptors and they are much safer than the -25. They will both exceed Mach 2 and can pull 9+ Gs. Please stay out of the -25.
Also, by the way, with apologies to Diners Card marketing, angels 80 ain't nowhere NEAR the "edge of space." You have to hit 265,000 feet for the air force to give you an astronaut rating. So, somewhere slightly BELOW 265,000 feet would be the edge of space...at least by US Air Force standards. I am aware that there are other definitions of where space begins. None of them, though, are even close to 80,000 feet.
Yours in safety at the bleeding edge, and sorry for getting on my soap box.
-Harry
