I've a friend in San Diego who said that the drive to LAX should be no more than three hours, but if traffic is hateful, could be longer. He also said that WN can be quite fussy with check-in times, rather like EZ and FR. Haven't been through LAX for years (thank god) so can't comment on transit times.
