C on the 763 is almost like C on the 777, but the seats are slightly narrower. Unless you get the forward C cabin on the 777, the FA to pax ratio is better on the 763. But to answer your question, JFK customs & immigration and connection is not bad and if I had to choose F on a 777 and continuing on P.S. I would rather than direct on C in a 763.
