That didn't work for me. I already had the Platinum CC, before applying for the BA PP card. The T&C for the BA PP state that it's only the Plat charge card that exempts you from the fee. Have others been luckier?

Also, beware that if you take out a second Amex to reduce the £120 down to £30 but don't use it, then you become liable for a £15 p.a. service charge on the card. Minimum spend to avoid this is £500 p.a. Having said that, the 750 miles you'd get for spending that £500 on the BA PP work out at 0.5p, which is pretty good value I think.
