Maybe AS spurned the wrong deity or hired the wrong out sourcing agent but these types of accidents are uncommon. AS does have a problem. The media is not picking on AS. The AS management has indeed painted a big target on them for their labor relations but accidents are accidents and more accidents are certainly being realized for a reason.

On a anecdotal side note; I worked on a flightline for 6 years from 1985-91 and never saw or heard of one accident like these. We did have a plane crash though.
