The 764 is truly a disappointment. At first, I was happy to hear that the flights to HNL were getting new equipment. Now, I must say that I am not thrilled about it at all. I would rather fly on that old L1011 than those new birds. The 764's were designed "without" the customer in mind. I flew in coach recently HNL-LAX and almost every other seat dosen't have space for your feet because they have some plastic box that takes up half the space. Looks like some people have been trying to break them off too by kicking them. Also, who in the world could have thought of placing the FA call button and other buttons right at a point where your elbow can touch it. Does Delta actually pay these people to design this stuff??? The person who managed the design should be reassigned to toilet seat design.
The only credit I can give the 764 is that it is a smooth ride and much quieter than any other plan I've been on. It does feel like new, but probably not for long.
