I also booked and award ticket for someone else, so I wrote NW and we don't get the points. Here is the answer I received:
Under the guidelines of the Xtreme Miles promotion, in order to earn
points on qualifying activies, only flight reservations flown by the
WorldPerks members registered for this promotion qualifies for points.
As the award travel in question was booked under another name, points
will not be awarded for this travel.
