Yeah, I think that was me. I recently reported that on a SLC to MSP E170 segment that they were out of rum (at boarding), so I switched to white wine and that soon dried up.
I thought that this might be a Shuttle America/E170 issue until a recent DL mainline flight. On a segment between PDX and SLC last Friday, I attempted to order a coffee with Amarula, that new South African cream liqueur. I was informed by the FA that they had only been alotted 2 bottles in their on-board liquor kit, both of which had been consumed on the out-bound flight, therefore no dice. I asked instead for a Woodford Reserve and was told that I was lucky to get the last one, so be sure to savor it.
So perhaps this is a more recent and widespread problem of Delta restricting/limiting adult beverages in FC. If its i intentional I wonder whether it is to reduce cost, liability or both.
