I believe I've seen at least one other post regarding a Delta/Shuttle America flight where they were light on wine. But what I encountered on a recent flight was really surprising.
Mrs. Mach and I were booked SLC-MEM a couple weeks ago. I was really looking forward to flying the E170 after reading the favorable comments on FT.
So we board the aircraft and get settled into 2C/D. The FA came over and said hello and asked what we'd like to drink. so far, so good.
Mrs. Mach asked for a gin and tonic and before I could utter "red wine", the FA informed us that she couldn't make a gin and tonic since they were out of gin. Mrs. Mach then revised her request to vodka tonic. Sorry, there's no vodka. I then said I'd like a red wine. Sorry no. White wine? no. Beer...No. The FA went onto explain it was because "the law in Salt Lake City would not allow it to be put onto he aircraft"
Excuse me, but I find that really hard to believe. So, a little later during the flight I quizzed further. She then volunteered that the flight in (from Columbus) had consumed everything they had.
Anyone else encounter a dry Shuttle America flight? Shouldn't this plane have been restocked?
