Same happened to me. So if you don't ask, you don't get! Explained that I know the rules and understand I don't get them anymore, but would appreciate it if they would review the trip as I have a companion I'd like to be able to upgrade.

Received a note reminding me that I don't get the certs anymore, but also letting me know that a one-time exception had been made and I was credited the 4 certs.

Very fast turn on the note and of course, I got what I wanted which only adds to the positive experience!
