All extremely good points. I just became Platinum and now I've begun to question the value (just question, at this stage - not ready to jump ship yet!) I really don't know what's going on with AA - if their core product (the seat, the service) was strong, these little things such as old movies and missing sundae's wouldn't be so frustrating. Alas, it's not. Watching UA install Economy Plus & 3-class regional jets makes them an option too good to refuse in many cases.

If it's not MRTC, the in-flight service, or some fancy new J seat, what exactly is AA's product distinction these days? The fare price?
