As already noted in this thread, the AA EXP desk only has control over AS seat availability on AA codeshares. If the flight is AS-marketed and operated (i.e. an AS flight number on AS metal), then the seats are given by AS. And, as
DuckFlyer correctly notes, AS gives these only to full-fare passengers (and AS elites) before the day of the flight.
