Yea, that confuses me too... UA really needs to make a change in their system since I cannot remember the last time I was in a CRJ that didn't have F. All the den-aus flights are CRJ700s except this flight. But this flight should certainly allow it.
The only thing I can think of is that maybe the flight doesnt have any more X availability and thus is forcing all upgrades onto the waitlist (or pending e500s to be waitlisted later).
Anyone have experience with using ual.com upgrade page to request upgrades on flights that have X0 availability?
