Late check out is probably my biggest complaint about Hilton. Unfortunately since there is nothing specific in the terms for what you are entitled to the hotels typically take that to mean you get nothing and 1 minute is a gift.

I dont think the OP was asking for very much as a Diamond and their experience is typica of mine which is why I will stay with SPG in circumstances when I need a later check out.

I am happy overall with Hilton but this is one area I wish they would state specifically what the benefit should be so the hotel would have to honor it. I get soooooo tired of hearing, " we are expecting a lot of people today so the best we can do is 12.30 on a 12.00 check out".

Sorry, but not a diva alert but a reality check for Hilton, 1 hour is not doing anything for the customer in this case. As was stated before you can check out on the tv and just wait till the maid comes to your toom and get 1pm or later so they didnt do you any favors.
