While I do agree that all customers should be treated with dignity and respect, I do think that Diamond/Gold VIPs have earned the right to be treated just a little bit better than your typical customer who just walked in off the street and has never spent a night at a Hilton property before.

Additionally, just because I opted to list one experience here, doesn't mean I haven't experienced this front desk rudeness before. I just didn't think my rant necessitated a long list of hotels. Trust me this isn't the first time I've had to haggle with the front desk over some issue that should have just been taken care of!

My point is that at some other Hilton brand hotels (HHV, HGIs, HI) I've noticed that the staff person dealing with a personal request usually tries to understand the customer better (including status/loyalty level) before they shoot off an answer...

Just thought this particuar hotel could have used the same process.
