Thanks for your reply, but I am little confused. Are you saying the SJC agent should have checked me in for the ATL/SAV flight and that the SAV agent should have checked me in for the ATL/PHL flight?

It seems odd that they both refused to do it. It also seems odd that they would be willing to check a bag onto a flight on which I myself was not checked in. Sorry, but I'm still a bit confused.

Also, what do you mean about "shortchecking"? I'm not familiar with the term. Thanks for all the great information you've provided. Hope you recovered from Friday.
