That sounds about right for summer fares. However, there is a possibility that with a lot of new capacity this year to Europe from several different carriers, we might see a better sale later in the spring as CO asseses their summer bookings. Also, you might want to wait and see if CO again offers their BusinessFirst Summer sale with seats in BF going for under $2,000. This is definitely worth it if you can swing it.

You may want to wait anyway before buying your tix. There is really little advantage to booking this far out on a revenue ticket. There may be a sale in the spring and prices are unlikely to go up dramatically from the current quote unless the flight starts to fill up on the dates you want to go. Just keep checking prices and how full the flight is. If the flight starts to fill up and your dates are not flexibly, then pull the trigger. Otherwise wait til May and see if a sale does not pop up.

One final suggestion is to look at fares to London where greater competition usually means lower prices. If you don't mind connecting, you can pick up a discount flight onwards to France (EasyJet for example) for an all in cost sometimes less that the CDG non-stop.
