I would probably do the same, which is to ignore it and
leave the hotel, never to come back again. On the other
hand, I hate to imagine what would have happend if a
family with kids had checked into that room. Can you
imagine the kids asking "daddy, is that a balloon?" (in
which case I would drage the hotel manager's sorry [rear end]
into and room and apologize.
