I was driving a rental car that we'd "illegaly" driven out of state (to bring home some grounded co-workers) back to the original rental site, across several states in fact. I stopped at a Ramada Inn off the highway, late evening, and basically crashed for the night.

When I woke up to check out and continue the drive, I thanked the stars above that I turned on the bedside lamp to my left instead of the right because hanging from the right hand lamp was a used condom. Ugh.

I was too disgusted to ask for a comp or anything - why would I ever return to that brand?
