I just have to throw this out there. The OP posted on 1/3 that he went out the night before which would have been on 1/2, a Monday, following a typically boozey weekend. My guess is, depending on what bars JS went to, the majority of the people there were there with friends and not interested in hooking up. That said I will toss three thoughts:

1. I once told my friend I was going out to a bar on a Tuesday, he asked why, I said, you never know I might meet mister right. He said, do you know the kind of guy you will meet on a Tuesday in a bar, the kind of guy who would be in a bar ona Tuesday.

2. About a month ago my friend and I were in XL, we were looking at a couple of oddly matched guys at the bar who would not stop making out. My friend noticed another cutie who was also watching the PDA and my friend walked right up to him, put his arm around his shoulder and said "do you think we will still have that passion when we are that old", ice broken and a new friend was made.

3. There seem to be many posters here who are from NYC, perhaps next time post that you are going to be in town and see if there is anyone esle from FT who will be there are the same time. I met 6 great guys in AMS over Thanksgiving, all because I posted that I would be there at that time.
