My apologies. I have edited "summary" to replace it with "observation".
My personal experience in the air when flying AF, is that, possibly based on my looks, I am adressed first in English, about 50% of the time, more so on long-haul flights. I have never experienced this on the ground at CDG, except for a few occurrences at check-in.
