China Reduced Award Terms & Conditions:

1) Offer: 45,000 miles for Economy Saver Award booking; valid for journeys between China (via Beijing or Shanghai only) and the U.S or Canada (excluding Hawaii). Offer is only valid on United, TedSM and United Express® operated flights, but not to flights operated by other airlines (such as United-marketed code share and Star Alliance® flights). Roundtrip travel is required.

2) Offer valid for Mileage Plus members residing in mainland China (not including Hong Kong), the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands only.

3) If you choose to use an award for one-way travel, no residual credit will be issued for unused segments. No stopovers permitted.

4) Travel must be completed between January 4, 2006 and March 31, 2006.

5) All ticketing must be made through United Reservations (in the US call 1-800-UNITED1 and in China call 1-800-810-8282) and complete by 31 March, 2006.

6) Award space is subject to availability and capacity-control restrictions apply. Since award space is booked in a special class of service, it may not be available on all flights or on all days of the week when you choose to travel.

7) Travel on award tickets is not subject to mileage accrual.

8) Not combinable with other offers.

9) No upgrades are permitted on award travel booking.

10) Changes are permitted in advance through United Reservations. After an award ticket is issued, a $100 service charge may be imposed for each change requested by the member which necessitates the re-issuance of the ticket. Changes to the date or flight time will not result in a service charge provided changes are made within the valid dates of this offer and the same cities are traveled. If the ticket is exchanged for travel outside of the validity period, the mileage will be credited back into the member account for the applicable $100 service charge, and a new ticket issued at the appropriate miles for the new award.

11) Award tickets are subject to applicable departure taxes, federal inspection fees, passenger facility charges, and other fees, charges or taxes, and the person utilizing the award is responsible for the payment of any such items that may apply. Any valid unused award ticket or certificate may be returned to the Mileage Plus Service Center for a service charge.

15) *Free Ticket Additional Taxes/Fees: Passenger is responsible for any applicable taxes, fees, and charges associated with their free ticket. Passengers will pay a $3.30 per flight segment tax. A flight segment is defined as one takeoff and one landing. Passengers will pay the September 11th Security Fee of up to $10.00 maximum per roundtrip and Passenger Facility Charges of up to $18.00, which may be collected depending on the itinerary. For travel from Alaska and Hawaii. For travel from Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, passengers will pay a $14.50 (each way) international departure tax. Additionally, for travel from Canada, passengers are responsible for U.S. Inspection Fees of $7 per roundtrip and for all taxes and fees imposed by the Canadian government of up to $19.50 per roundtrip and a $29.00 per roundtrip international departure and arrival tax if outside the 225-mile buffer zone. The passenger is responsible for international arrival and departure taxes. For passengers originating in the U.S., passengers are responsible U.S. arrival and departure taxes and agricultural, immigrations and customs fees of up to $41. For travel to some countries, additional airport, transportation, embarkation, security and passenger service taxes/surcharges of up to $124 will apply depending on destination. For return travel from some countries, fares do not include airport and/or departure taxes of up to $36, which may be collected by the foreign government. Additional restrictions may apply.
